Bachelor's programme
In everyday life, education is often associated with school or family. In the study of educational science, however, students deal with theories about the conscious and unconscious processes of human agency, forms of socialisation and worlds of experience.
This means the entire life span from childhood to old age, the entire spectrum of formal, non-formal and informal educational processes. Teaching and research focus in particular on the relationship between generations and genders, cultures, different living conditions and abilities.
What educational sciences are and what students have to say about their studies can be heard on the Uni-Podcast.
On 1 October 2023, a neues Curriculum is expected to come into force for the Bachelor's degree programme in Education.

The BA programme is designed as a full-time programme, which is why graduation is possible after six semesters (= 3 years). However, there is no obligation to complete the degree within this time.
Here is an overview of the structure and organisation of the degree programme.
