Tirol sup­ports young sci­en­tists

21 young researchers out of 10 faculties from the University of Innsbruck received a grant from the Tyrolean young researchers Funding, one of them institute of geology.

State Science Councillor Cornelia Hagele awarded funding from the Tyrolean Young Scientiest Funding Program to eight Tyrolean Universities with all together 1,1 Million euros. Nearly the half of it (462,000€) goes to projects at the University of Innsbruck. 111 young scientiests applied and 56 finally received funding, 21 from the University of Innsbruck and one of them is Sarah Schaffer. 

Sarah Schaffer, MSc from the faculty of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences is part of the funding with her work: Megaliths and Megafloods - Applications of rock surface dating: Novel ways of constraining the age of archaeological and geological rock surfaces-institute of geology

New funding applications can be submitted in the time period february to march.
