to the Digital Offer

University members have access to Wifi on the university premises ; unfortunately, private individuals cannot use it for licensing reasons: https://www.uibk.ac.at/zid/anleitungen/wlan/

To be able to use databases and e-media outside the university campus, you need a so-called VPN connection. To do this,  your computer must be connected to the internet via any provider and then you can set up a secure tunnel to our data network with the help of the VPN software and a login at the university.

VPN access and installation instructions Due to licensing regulations, non-university members have access in the publicly accessible rooms of the main library or the departmental and faculty libraries, but not from outside the campus.
