Are you interested in the basics of the development, production and quality control of pharmaceuticals and medicinal products?
Pharmacy is a scientific discipline strongly related to the medical field. Drugs and all their related aspects are at the centre of the pharmaceutical sciences. The students of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Pharmacy gain scientific knowledge and learn scientific methods in the main disciplines of pharmacy and its related fields of science. The main topics taught in the programme are the basics of developing, producing and assuring the quality of drugs and pharmaceutical substances.

Supplemental examinations
The supplemental examination in Biology and Environmental Protection is dropped if a minimum of four hours in natural sciences, biology or biology in conjunction with other teaching areas per week were successfully attended at a secondary school after the 8th school grade. if the knowledge from the fields of natural sciences, biology or biology in conjunction with other teaching areas are already part of the admission procedure prior admission (concerns all admission processes acc. to §65a and §§71b, c, d UA 2002). The supplemental examination in Latin is required before completion of the bachelor's degree programme if this subject was not completed satisfactorily with at least 10 credit hours at a higher-level secondary school.

Graduates of the Bachelor’s Programme Pharmacy possess fundamental theoretic and practical knowledge of the de-velopment, production and quality control of pharmaceuticals and medicines, and they have basic knowledge of the methods of neighbouring subject areas, such as physics, biochemistry, biotechnol-ogy, microbiology and hygiene.
The goal of the Bachelor’s Programme Pharmacy at the University of Innsbruck is to convey fundamental scientific skills and methods in the main fields of pharmacy as well as associated fields. The Bachelor’s Programme Pharmacy leads to a first professional university degree which enables to qualified activities in the pharmaceutical industry, at universities, other research institutions or testing facilities.
Graduates of the Bachelor’s Programme Pharmacy at the University of Innsbruck have the nec-essary basic skills for a career start in this field, e.g. in analytical or diagnostic laboratories or in the pharmaceutical industry.
