After completing his training as a master carpenter and the HTL Furniture Design, Anton Kraler studied architecture at the Leopold Franzens University in Innsbruck.
Since 2002, he has been a research assistant in the Timber Construction Department at the Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Innsbruck. His dissertation on ‘Air tightness and sound insulation in timber house construction’, completed in 2006, focussed on research activities in the areas of component development, building acoustics and quality assurance - taking a holistic view of design, building physics, environmental protection and quality-enhancing aspects.
