Project context/
content

The first event was the International Gustav Mahler Workshop in Toblach. The workshop allowed participants (Master’s and PhD students) to exchange ideas with an international group of experts in Mahler research in a less formal setting (Arbeisklausur), structured as short papers followed by longer discussions. In the second half of July 2018, the project activities concentrated on the exhibition on Gustav Mahler´s Eighth Symphony that took place during the festival “Settimane musicali Gustav Mahler” in Toblach. The participating students were in charge of presenting their work to the festival visitors, learning how communicate their efforts to a non-specialised audience. In May 2019, it was the turn of a different group of students, who was to work on Mahler's Second Symphony. The continuation of their activities was seen in July during the festival, where they had the opportunity to present their work during the official vernissage, earning many accolades from the present audience.

Results
The project succeeded in creating six LOs for six key-issues: 4-A-scheme, Universal Design for Learning, Index for Inclusion, disability models, anti-bias education, exclusion/dehumanization in a historical perspective. The LOs had been used in digital teaching activities during the academic year 2019/2020 at both Universities of Bozen/Bolzano and Innsbruck.
