FT-ICR 4.7 Tesla

ICR 4.7 Tesla

Originally a Bruker / Spectrospin CS47X, the instrument has been upgraded continuously. Equipped with a laser vaporization ion source and a temperature controlled ICR cell, it is ideally suited for reactivity studies of water clusters and metal clusters.

Schematics of laser photodissociation experiment
Photodissociation spectroscopy is performed with one of the tunable optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) available from the Innsbruck Laser Core Facility.

FT-ICR 9.4 Tesla

ICR 9.4 Tesla

A Bruker Apes Qe with Nanobay Console and Dual Source II. Ionisation is possible via ESI, MALDI and APCI. A tunable OPO can be introduced throug a window in the cell flange.

Nanowizard 4 by JPK

The Nanowizard 4 (Bruker/JPK) is used for the investigation of mechanical properties of single molecules. Of course, it ist also an excellent instrument for making high-resolution images of surfaces.

UV/VIS/NIR OPO

UV-VIS-NIR OPO

The optical-parametric oscillator ESKPLA NT342B provides tunable light from 225 nm to 2600 nm, with a line width of 5 cm-1 and pulse energies up to 30 mJ at 20 Hz repetition rate. The mobile steup allows use at both FT-ICR mass spectrometers.

MID-IR OPO

EKSPLA NT277

The optical-parametric oscillator EKSPLA NT277 delivers tunable light from 2500 nm to 4475 nm, with a line width of <8 cm-1 and pulse energy up to 270 µJ at 1000 Hz pulse repetition rate. The system was financed by infrastructure funds from the University via the Research Platform Advanced Materials. It is shared by all groups of the institute.
