Academic Career

johannes Vorwerk studied mathematics and physics at the University of Münster, where he received his diploma in mathematics in 2011 and his doctorate in mathematics in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Scientific Computing & Imaging Institute at the University of Utah, USA. From 2018 to 2024 he worked as a University Assistant at the Institute of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at UMIT TIROL, where he was appointed Assistant Professor in 2022 and Associate Professor in 2024 and habilitated in Biomedical Engineering in 2024. He has been working as a Senior Scientist at the University of Innsbruck since 2024.
