Lending and fees

Lending and fees

Borrowing and downloading media is free of charge. Fees are only charged for exceeding deadlines.

Search and order print media via our search portal BibSearch. For borrowing you need a valid Library card.

You can reserve media that have already been borrowed, and we will notify you by e-mail as soon as the item is returned.

You can book media from the open access area yourself or borrow them at the counter.

Media ordered from the stacks are available for collection for seven days. Please do not forget to check out the media at the self-check-out machine or at the counter.

Select your desired pick-up location when ordering via BibSearch.

We deliver twice a day to our seven Locations in Innsbruck and to our central depot in Mutters. We also deliver literature to the Institutes of Sports Science and Botany, the University of Education Innsbruck (once a week), the study programme "Economics, Health and Sports Tourism" in Landeck (once a week) and the Institute of Limnology at Lake Mondsee. Delivery is free of charge.

Please note that only two renewals per loan are possible until the due date. You can only renew a book if it is neither overdue nor reserved and your loan account has no holds or charges over 4€.

After logging into BibSearch, please go to your name in the top right-hand corner and then to Library Account. Your loans and the possibility of renewal will be displayed there.

Interlibrary loan is a chargeable service for obtaining literature that is not available in Innsbruck:

We are happy to order media that are not available in Innsbruck for you via interlibrary loan. Log in to BibSearchfill out the form "Interlibrary loan" and send the order.

We will inform you by e-mail as soon as the order has arrived at the main library. The delivery time varies as it depends on the giving library. An approximate guideline is the period of 2 weeks.

The loan period for interlibrary loans depends on the individual supplier libraries. As a rule, it is four weeks (calculated from the date of arrival at the ULB Tirol). Longer borrowing periods for researchers, lecturers or master students and doctoral candidates have no influence on this.

In certain cases, e.g. in the case of frequently used literature or periodical volumes, the loan period may also be shorter or use only permitted in the Historical Reading Room of the main library. An extension of interlibrary loans is not possible.

Fees:

  • Book domestic: 4,00 Euro
  • Book abroad: 14,00 Euro
  • Copies domestic 1-20 pages (further pages according to expenditure): 5,00 Euro
  • Copies abroad 1-20 pages (further pages according to expenditure): 7,00 Euro
