Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anke Bockreis

Anke Bockreis has held the Chair of Waste Treatment and Resource Management since October 2009. She is a civil engineer and completed her doctorate in the field of monitoring surface biofilters. From 1996 to 2009, she worked for many years at the Institute WAR, Department of Waste Technology at TU Darmstadt, headed by Prof Dr Johannes Jager. Her work there focussed on biological and mechanical-biological waste treatment processes and their emission recording and reduction.

In addition, Prof. Bockreis worked as a project engineer specialising in mechanical-biological waste treatment at IGW - Ingenieurgemeinschaft Witzenhausen from 2005-2007. She was also able to gain non-university experience as a freelancer in other engineering offices.
