Current tenders

Funding for 2024 will be awarded in two tranches. Applications can be submitted until 10 March 2024 and 13 October 2024.

Applications with the required enclosures in pdf format must be entered into the project database by the responsible project database officer of your institute. If available, please use an existing "not §26/27" data set (for the publication or event) and add the Research Platform Center Interdisciplinary Gender Studies Innsbruck as a participating institute. At the same time, please send your application by e-mail to gender-research@uibk.ac.at.

ATTENTION - new deadlines for 2025: Funding for 2025 will be awarded in two instalments. Applications can be submitted until 31 December 2024 and 15 June 2025.

General funding guidelines

Empirical research papers
Funding of empirical research work (max. 300€) by PhD students at the research platform.
Application via the funding application form Förderansuchen an das Center Interdisziplinäre Geschlechterforschung (CGI).

Participation in meetings and conferences
PhD students at the research platform who do not have a current employment contract at an university can apply for financial support (max. 300 €) for participation in meetings and conferences.

Publications
Members of the research platform can apply for financial support (max. 500 €) for publications.
Application via the form Förderansuchen an das Center Interdisziplinäre Geschlechterforschung (CGI) plus enclosures:
Applications for publication funding must be accompanied by a description of the content of the publication in which the reference to gender studies is made explicit, a financial plan and the publisher's approval.
German-language proofreading or editing costs are ranked lower in the allocation of funds, while funding for printing costs is ranked higher.

Events
The CGI funds inter- or transdisciplinary research projects that are supported by at least two members of the research platform. Funding is available for the following events related to the research platform

  • scientific workshops,
  • conferences/congresses,
  • transfer or application-oriented projects.

Application via the form Förderansuchen an das Center Interdisziplinäre Geschlechterforschung (CGI) plus attached budget and programme of the conference/event.
The award/amount of funding depends on the funds available and the number of applications.

In the case of projects or publications financed with these grants, the CGI must be mentioned as the funding institution (with logo).
