EMMA EM6: Biodiversity (7,5 ETCS-AP)

The aim of the module is to provide an overview of local, regional and global patterns of biodiversity in terrestrial and aquatic habitats and to understand the causes and the significance of biodiversity, its role in the functioning and stability of ecosystems, and its dynamics in response to global changes.

While the lecture provides a synthetic overview of the basics both in a broader context and on specific case studies, the exercise part of the course focuses on applications in practice.
The lecture and the practical course are held in English.
