City
The focus of research is in the understanding of the city as an object. The current investigated objects include: the city as a field, the city as an aggregated figure and the city as figural field. The department city/urban design is part of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Innsbruck. Since 2010, Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Peter Trummer, MSc. has acted as head of the Institute, which commits itself towards a disciplinary approach to urban design.
