Bachelor thesis on predator niches and climate resilience in agroecosystems
Arthropod biodiversity is crucial for ecosystem services in agriculture and their resilience to climate change.
In this context, this bachelor thesis aims to determine the environmental niche diversity of arthropod predators in crop fields in relation to potential biological pest control.
Main activities include the processing of field samples and the morphological identification of carabid beetles, spiders and staphylinid beetles.

Im Projekt „Insekten-Bus-Monitoring: Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel erfassen österreichische Insektenbiodiversität“ wird ein neuer innovativer Ansatz des Insektenmonitorings mittels Bussen österreichweit getestet. In diesem Projekt werden zwei Masterarbeiten zum Thema Insektenvorkommen entlang von Buslinien in Tirol vergeben. Beginn: jederzeit möglich.
Es erwartet dich
- Beprobung und Bestimmung von Fluginsekten
- Selbstständige Probenentnahme dreimal pro Monat bis September 2024
- Mitwirkung in einem innovativen Forschungsprojekt zum nachhaltigen Monitoring von Insekten
- kontinuierliche Unterstützung durch das Projektteam
