Masterarbeit im Insekten-Bus-Monitoring

Im Projekt „Insekten-Bus-Monitoring: Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel erfassen österreichische Insektenbiodiversität“ wird ein neuer innovativer Ansatz des Insektenmonitorings mittels Bussen österreichweit getestet. In diesem Projekt werden zwei Masterarbeiten zum Thema Insektenvorkommen entlang von Buslinien in Tirol vergeben.

 

Es erwartet dich

• Beprobung und Bestimmung von Fluginsekten
• Selbstständige Probenentnahme dreimal pro Monat bis September 2024
• Mitwirkung in einem innovativen Forschungsprojekt zum nachhaltigen Monitoring von Insekten
• kontinuierliche Unterstützung durch das Projektteam

PhD Position on environmental RNA

The analysis of environmental DNA (eDNA) became a standard method to monitor fish species and abundances in freshwater streams and lakes. In marine systems however, the signal is usually blurred and translocated and thus non-informative to characterize local fish communities and their abundances.

Within the project eRNAmaris – environmental RNA in marine systems, we investigate if the analysis of environmental RNA can help to overcome these hurdles for non-invasive fish stock assessments in the ocean.

 

Start: January 2025
