Appointed Professor of European Law, Public International Law and International Relations at the University of Innsbruck in October 2012. From 2015 to 2020 Dean of Studies and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Innsbruck. Elected Chair of the Academic Senate of the University of Innsbruck in October 2019 Since 1 March 2021 Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Innsbruck. Scientific advisor to the South Tyrolean provincial government on issues relating to EU law and the international anchoring of autonomy Scientific advisor to several federal ministries and the Tyrolean provincial government on EU law issues and to the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein on EEA law issues In January 2022, awarded the Grand Decoration of Honour in Silver for Services to the Republic of Austria at the Landhaus in Innsbruck.
