I studied both my BSc (Hons) and MSc at the University of Edinburgh, a city I love very much and has a great community of hill runners, climbers, and general adventurers. I am from the Northeast of Scotland and the mountains have always been a great source of inspiration for me. Pretty much all my hobbies centre around being outdoors and in nature: hill running, climbing, cycling, trekking and wild swimming. Spending time with my family in the Scottish Highlands and islands when I was a child, cemented in me a strong respect for the power and beauty of nature. This project is an amazing opportunity to deepen my understanding of socio-ecological systems and climate change, two key interests of mine. Additionally, I hope that living in Austria will bring me closer with my family heritage who are originally from Germany.
