Katharina Fohringer is originally from Westendorf, a village in the beautiful Brixental Valley. Her strengths in accounting and business administration were already apparent during her A-levels at the Wilder Kaiser tourism schools. An internship at a tax consultancy firm in Kitzbühel enabled her to deepen her knowledge and Katharina's enthusiasm was consolidated. She therefore decided to study for a bachelor's degree in economics in Innsbruck. During her studies, she completed a further internship at a tax consultancy and auditing firm, which strengthened her interest, particularly in the field of auditing.
In order to specialize even further, she completed a master's degree in Accounting, Auditing & Taxation. During the first semester of her master's degree, Katharina began working as a student assistant at the Institute of Accounting, Auditing & Taxation. She really enjoys the various tasks, mainly in research, and also appreciates the additional insights behind the scenes at the University of Innsbruck.
In addition to everyday university life, Katharina can usually be found in the mountains, whether hiking, skiing or ski touring, but her hobbies also include playing volleyball and yoga.
