The field of nonlinear dispersive partial differential equations is a highly active area within PDE analysis. In many models, geometry plays an important role; be it in the form of geometric constraints that are imposed on the unknowns or by the fact that the unknowns themselves represent geometric quantities. The combination of geometric aspects and dispersive effects poses new challenges in the analytic investigation and requires a solid understanding of both subjects.
The aim of this summer school is to present in short lecture series recent developments in the field. It targets young researchers (PhDs, Postdocs) with strong background and interest in nonlinear dispersive PDEs and geometric evolution equations.
Venue
The summer school will take place in Obergurgl, Austria at the University Center Obergurgl. It will start in the evening of September 25, 2022 with an informal dinner and will end on September 30, 2022 after lunch.

Registration fee: 250 Euro The registration fee covers accommodation (double rooms with separated beds) and full board (breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, and dinner) at the University Center Obergurgl for the entire week. The surcharge for single occupation is 180 Euro. Unfortunately, we are not able to cover travel costs.
We have small number of family rooms in case you would like to bring your kids/partner. However, please note that Obergurgl lies at over 1900 m altitude, hence it is not recommended for babies/very young children.
After a successful application, we will send you further information concerning payment of the registration fees, travel details and the tentative schedule.
We note that in case of cancellations less than two weeks before the start of the summer school refunds cannot be granted.
COVID Restrictions
Participants have to be fully vaccinated and tested before attending the summer school.
