The master’s Degree Programme in Business Education combines topics in the fields of education, teaching and business studies. This programme promotes critical and ethically-reflective thinking and an intense self-examination of the students’ development of professional identity.
At the intersection of education and economics graduates develop competencies in formulating and substantiating arguments academically and solving problems innovatively. The students acquire specialised knowledge in vocational education in the fields of business and economics.

Graduates possess highly specialized knowledge in vocational education. They are able to demonstrate their competences in school and non-school vocational education and at the intersections of education and business sciences by formulating and substantiating arguments scientifically and by solving problems innovatively.
The master's Programme Business Education combines students' previous scientific business training with educational qualifications. The goal of the program is competence development at the university level, providing professional qualifications for activities in business, education and scientific fields. This includes, in particular, the promotion of critical and ethical-reflective thinking and intense examination of students' own professional identity development.
The program aims to promote the following competences:
- Subject-specific competences: knowledge and judgement capabilities for future business, educational or scientific activities
- Social competences: highly developed teamwork skills for professional contexts, communication, conflict management, cooperative and leadership abilities
- Personal competences: ability and willingness for self-organization and reflective identify development
Accordingly, we expect of students a high degree of commitment and responsibility. We offer thorough theoretical training with practical relevance while facilitating the transfer of universal skills and knowledge to practical situations.
