Für ein Lehrende und Forschende an der University of New Orleans gibt es mehrere Stipendienmöglichkeiten:

 

 

 


 

NICK MÜLLER FELLOWSHIP

Every year, the State of Tyrol and the City of Innsbruck award a scholarship in honor of Prof. Gordon "Nick" Müller, the founder of the UNO Innsbruck International Summer School and co-founder of the UNO Innsbruck University Partnership. Gordon "Nick" Müller also founded the Center Austria at the UNO in 1997. Today, he is Director of the National World War II Museum in New Orleans. The aim of the research fellowship is to enable Innsbruck or Tyrolean students to complete a research stay at the UNO.

Prerequisites:

  • Tyrolean
  • Student of the University of Innsbruck
  • Advanced studies
  • Working on diploma or master thesis or dissertation, ideally focusing on a research topic related to the USA
  • Stay of two semesters at the UNO (August-May)
  • 10 hours of work per week at the Center Austria
  • Written final report

Amount: 

€ 10,000

Application deadline is always at the end of the winter semester of that year

NEW ORLEANS DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP

The BMWFW advertises this fellowship for study and research at the Center Austria of the University of New Orleans. This fellowship is awarded once a year. It commits to 20 hours of work per week at the Center (co-ordination and networking tasks, assisting with the publication of "Contemporary Austrian Studies" and preparation of the annual conference).

Prerequisites:

  • Diploma or Master studies completed at an Austrian university
  • Ongoing doctoral studies in history, American studies or Political Science at an Austrian university (preferably "American-Austrian / Central European Relations")
  • Excellent computer and English skills
  • The candidate may not be abroad to realize the intended study project at the time the fellowship is awarded and must have his / her residence in Austria during the academic year of application (ie no stays abroad of more than six months)

MARSHALL PLAN SCHOLARSHIP

The extremely well-endowed Marshall Plan Scholarship of the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation aims at students of all technical sciences who are considering research in the USA for their master's / diploma or dissertation work. The minimum stay must be three months (maximum funding period is 5 months).

Duration:

3 - 5 months

Amount:

3,000 - 10,000 Euro

Deadlines:

Second Call, Marshall Plan Scholarship Program: 
2nd call   probably Februar/ März (earliest Start: Sommer 2022)

First Call, Scholarship Program:
1st call    06.09.2021 - 31.10.2021 (earliest Start: 31.01.2022)
