Martina studied Biology and Environmental Protection as well as English in the Teacher Training Programme, and joined the Molecular Ecology research group in 2015 due to her diploma thesis, which dealt with life history traits of Drosophila species, alpine biology and climate-change biology in a wider sense. From Oktober 2016 onwards she worked in the research groups Molecular Ecology and Applied and Trophic Ecology as a technician. Her focus shifted to molecular biology and high-throughput analysis, as she joined the research unit Applied Animal Ecology in August 2018 full-time. She is involved in several projects of the research unit and is also responsible for the lab robots, laboratory management, research unit organization and public relations.
