About Federica Malfatti
Federica Isabella Malfatti is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Christian Philosophy of the University of Innsbruck. She studied philosophy at the Universities of Pavia, Mainz, and Heidelberg. She spent research periods at the University of Cologne and at Harvard University. From 2018 to 2020, she was a research and teaching assistant within the Doctoral Research Group “Philosophy of Religion”. She obtained her PhD from the University of Innsbruck in 2020, defending a PhD thesis entitled “Verstehen verstehen” (Understanding understanding). The thesis has been published in 2023 by the Schwabe Verlag and is available with open access thanks to a generous funding of the FWF.
She is the leader and primary investigator of the TWF-funded TrAU! project.
