About

I am a post-doc researcher and Hertha-Firnberg Fellow at the Department of Geography. My research interests concern social aspects of risk and resilience in the context of natural hazards, climate change and tourism development.  A particular focus of my research is on hazards and risk in the Global South: how tourism creates risk and what factors influence risk management, and how hazard and risk research generates impacts for communities and research participants. More information on my personal website.

Research interests: risk, resilience, tourism development, research impact, STS

Regions: Alps (Austria), Himalaya (Nepal, India)

Methods: semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, questionnaire surveys, content analysis, choice-bases conjoint analysis
