The project is carried out with a number of international partners:
- The Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle arti e Paesaggio per le province di Barletta-Andria-Trani e Foggia (and earlier the Soprintendenza per I Beni Archeologici della Puglia) supports the project in terms of excavation permits and advice.
- The DNA-analyses are carried out by Fabrice Demeter and colleagues of the Globe Institute, Section for Geogenetics, University of Kopenhagen
- The anthropological analysis of the skeletal material is carried out by Kristin von Heyking and colleagues of the company AnthroArch GbR, Munich
- Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) to clarify the origin of different pottery wares present at Ascoli Satriano was first financed by and carried out together with Richard Posamentir, Tübingen, and then by the FWF project “Local Potter’s reactions” by Erich Kistler (University of Innsbruck). The sampling was accomplished by Kai Riehle (Universities Tübingen/Innsbruck), the analyses were executed by Hans Mommsen, (Helmholtz-Institut für Strahlen- und Kernphysik, Bonn) and Johannes Sterba (Technische Universität, Vienna)
- Organic residue analyses of selected pottery vessels were carried out by Julie Dunne (Organic Geochemistry Unit, University of Bristol)
