10-011 Creating a Learning path

Overview

Lecturers can activate OpenOlat courses for their own lectures independently. Below, you will find step-by-step guides relating to this topic.

Administrative staff or student assistants, acting on behalf of lecturers, can fill in this online form. (The course will be created within two working days.)

Please note: additional course owners can only be added to a course at the direct request of the course instructor.

Please note: It is not possible to convert a Learning path courses to a Conventional courses

For more information on Conventional courses please see HelpCard 10-010.

A Learning path is course in OpenOlat that shows a linear structure. Participants have to proceed through the course elements in a predetermined order. Participants are led through the learning process like on a path. Every time a course element is completed, their learning process increases. Progress and activity are displayed and visualized transparently for both participants and supervisors. This makes it possible to respond to the individual processes of the participants and offer targeted support. This is a particular advantage for self-learning or blended learning setups.

For more information on the configuration of Learning path courses see HelpCard 10-031.
