for the Master's Programme Psychology for The Academic Year 2024/2025

Admission procedure for the 2024/2025 academic year completed

70 people took part in the admission test for the Master's program in Psychology on August 28, 2024 in the academic year 2024/2025.

Here you can find a graphic representation.

Participants were informed of the results of the admission procedure on 12.09.2024 by message to their LFU:online account (https://lfuonline.uibk.ac.at/public/lfuonline.login).

All participants can find information about their ranking in LFU:online under “My applications”.

 

Those who receive a ranked place within the 40 available study places can be admitted to the Master's degree program in Psychology in the winter semester 2024/2025 or in the summer semester 2025.


Procedure of the written admission test on Wednesday 28th August 2024

The admission test will be carried out at the University of Innsbruck, Campus Technik.

All applicants with a valid registration confirmation meet on Campus Technik, Technikerstraße 13b, HSB 3 (ground floor) at 09.00 a.m.

The applicants were informed about the exact time and entrance for their check-in on August 11st 2023.

At the registration you have to show a valid photo ID and your registration confirmation. Without these documents you are not allowed to attend the test. 

Please only bring allowed items to the test (photo ID, regristration confirmation, black pens, non-programmable calculators, something to eat and drink, purse).

All other items (bags, jackets, dictionaries, lexica, periodic systems, highlighters, cellphones, tablets, computers, other electronic equipment or analog or digital watches) are not allowed for taking the test and should be held at home. Otherwise they have to be placed unter the table in a provided bag. Cellphones must be switched off!

The test will take place for 90 minutes (1 1/2 hours). Without positive completion of the test admission for the Master's Programme Psychology is not possible. Please note, that admission is possible only with a positive completion of the admission procedure and a general university entrance qualification.

The results of the written test will be announced no later than three weeks after the test via e-mail.


Written admission test on 28th August 2024

The admission procedure for the Master's Programme Psychology expired on 15th July 2024. No more late registrations for the academic year 2024/2025, are possible, without any exceptions.
147 applicants have registered.

The number of applicants registered by 15th July 2024 exceeds the number of study places determined in the University of Innsbruck bulletin. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a written admission test.

The written test will take place on 28th August 2024. Further information on the procedure, safety and hygiene measures, location, time, etc. will be sent to all duly registered applicants via E-mail to their LFU:online accounts by 11st August 2024 at the latest.

For organisational reasons, we kindly ask you to inform us in writing if you will not take part in the admission test for the Master's Programme Psychology at the University of Innsbruck.

All applicants with a valid registration were informed on 18th July 2024 by message via the LFU:online account ("My forms"   "Inbox"). If you have not received a message despite successful registration, please contact aufnahmeverfahren-neu@uibk.ac.at.

Workflow for the Admission Procedure

If you are interested in the Master's Programme Psychology it is important to be aware of the following conditions: Each academic year, the University of Innsbruck makes the following number of study places available: 40. In order to obtain one of these places of study, you need to complete the following steps:

Admission Procedure - Workflow

Online-Registration and Payment of the Handling Fee 1st March till 15th July 2024; you will find further information about the payment of the handling fee in the amount of € 50.-- in the University of Innsbruck announcement resp. the available payment terms within the online registration.

  1. Registration for the Admission Procedure.
  2. Enter your data into the system, pay the handling fee and register for the Master's Programme Psychology. 
  3. After you have completed the registration you can print your confirmation of registration. 

 Admission test

If there are more applicants than places, an admission test will take place on 28th August 2024. You will receive timely information about the venue and time of the test after the registration deadline.

The admission test is a written test and includes subject-related questions and basic methodological skills equal to Bachelor's level. The duration of the test is about 90 minutes (1,5 hours) maximum.These fields refer to the following literature (German only):

The results of the admission test will be arranged in descending order, i.e. the best applicants can be admitted for this study programme at the University of Innsbruck  if the general requirements are met according to §§ 63 and following of the Universities Act 2002. Admission to the University of Innsbruck is only possible for the winter semester 2024/2025 or the summer semester 2025. For a later admission you have to pass the admission procedure again.

Please note that you have to be awarded  one of the study places, available for the academic year 2024/2025 and submit an application to the Admission Department to prove that you have competed a relevant bachelor’s degree programme. Please refer to the information on admission policies.
