erasmus+
The successful erasmus+ Programme for education, youth and sport will continue during the period 2021 to 2027. erasmus+ offers various mobility and cooperation opportunities, not only in higher education, but also in vocational education and training, school and adult education, youth work and sport.
Over the next seven years, the focus of the new programme generation will be on Inclusion and Diversity, Green erasmus+, Digital Transformation and Shared Values, Civic Engagement and Participation. These priorities are implemented through new elements such as blended and short-term mobility as well as green travel. Furthermore, there is more scope for international mobility in the new programme. For this, the EU Commission has almost doubled the budget compared to the period 2014 to 2020. This means that 26.2 billion euros plus an additional 2.2 billion euros from the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI) are available for the new programme generation. For Austria, more than 550 million euros are expected to be earmarked for the entire programme period. In Austria, the OeAD (Agency for Education and Internationalisation) is the national agency responsible for the implementation of erasmus+. You can find more information on the website of the national agency.
The University of Innsbruck was awarded the erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) 2021-2027 for its participation in the erasmus+ Programme:
