Network Advisor for “Open Applied Linguistics”

Recently, Benjamin Kremmel was invited to join the Network Advisory Board of “Open Applied Linguistics”, an international research network (ReN) affiliated with the International Association of Applied Linguistics (AILA), dedicated to promoting open scholarship in applied linguistics since 2022.

The convenors Meng Liu, Ali Al-Hoorie, and Phil Hiver coordinate a range of activities and initiatives that aim at:

🔹raising awareness of open scholarship in applied linguistics through talks, symposia, and training workshops

🔹initiating conversations and collaborations on open scholarship among researchers, as well as with other open scholarship initiatives, and fostering an inclusive understanding of open scholarship

🔹lowering barriers to entry into open scholarship by creating/curating resources to support the adoption of open scholarship practices

Benjamin will contribute to these efforts alongside the other eight international network advisors Aline Godfroid, Laura Gurzynski-Weiss, Daniel R. Isbell, Emma Marsden, Kevin McManus, Kara Morgan-Short, Luke Plonsky, and Graeme Porte.
