We conduct relevant and rigorous top-notch research. Through our research we actively contribute to the excellent positioning of the University of Innsbruck internationally. This is done through publications in renowned journals, as well as by forming collaborations with international research and project partners. Research collaborations with well-known researchers in the field allow us to be at the forefront. Our research focuses on methods, requirements, motives and barriers of open innovation approaches and aims at strengthening the spirit of innovation and the competitiveness of the Tyrol.


Top 10 Publications

Our current research focuses on the exploration of crowds as sources of innovation and on digital transformation challenges. We further contribute to the field of social and societal innovation as well as the impact of entrepreneurship education at universities on the start-up scene. Within the last 12 years we have contributed to more than 170 publications, many of them covering pioneering topics, such as open-innovation, co-creation, or crowdsourcing.
