Stefanie Schöttl studied Scientific Principles of Sports and the Master in Movement and Health - Diagnostics, Prevention and Intervention at the TU Munich. Afterwards she gained practical experience and worked in a rehabilitation clinic at the Tegernsee. She then completed a part-time Master´s degree in Sports-, Culture- and Events Management at the FH Kufstein and worked in the field of prevention during this time. To finally pursue a scientific career, she started her doctoral studies at the chair for sport psychology at the University Innsbruck. In her doctoral thesis, she researches the effect of exercise as an add-on therapy in smoking cessation in patients with mental illness and collaborates with the Medical University of Innsbruck. In her free time, Stefanie also works as an official judge for the German and International Skating Union.
