At this fair you will have the opportunity to get to know other academics interested in developing Virtual Exchange / COIL projects. Like a kind of academic "speed dating," you will have a chance to suggest potential projects and learn about exciting ideas from potential COIL partners from across Aurora and associate institutions. Our focus will be on projects related to Sustainability in a broader sense, but all participants are welcome.
The Coil fair will take place on April 23rd, 2024 at 15:00-16:30 CET.
We invite teachers to fill in this form with general information about their field and interests.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Complete the form by March 31st, 2024.
Answering the form is also a sign of interest and a way to be updated on news about COIL and COIL trainings, so please be sure to answer it on time, even if you don’t have a clear idea of how to do a COIL.
2. A bulletin that will gather all the replies from the Form will be sent out to everyone who participated on April 8th. Read it through, find a potential match and feel free to email them!
3. During the Fair, we will briefly explain what a COIL activity is and what the advantages of implementing this methodology are. We will also introduce Sustainability as a topic and how to approach it from a COIL perspective. Designated instructors will have 1 minute to share their experience and/or be regrouped into several break-out rooms to brainstorm with each other.
REMEMBER finding a partner can be fun! YOU are finding someone who, like you, is creating community and joy for all of your students and yourself!

MORE FAIRS TO COME
Interested in COIL, but not necessarily in Sustainability? We are planning to hold a Fair at least once per year, focusing on transversal topics interesting for all WP2 hubs. This edition will focus on Sustainability in a broader sense.

COIL TRAINING
Unsure whether you can do a COIL? An online training will take place shortly after the Fair. Instructors that find a match will have direct assistance in gaining more knowledge and tips on the foundations of COIL, how to design a good COIL activity and implement it in a collaborative, smooth and fun way. This training will not be limited to COIL on Sustainability, other disciplines and areas are welcome and it is open to every facilitator aiming to learn about how to implement COIL.
