The event was organized by Max Breitenlechner (University of Innsbruck), Martin Geiger (Liechtenstein Institute), Jochen Güntner (Johannes Kepler University Linz), Johann Scharler (University of Innsbruck), and Marios Zachariadis (University of Cyprus). The workshop program consisted of five main topics, which were addressed in presentations and subsequent discussions:
- Monetary policy, fragmentation and heterogeneity
- Identification in macroeconomic models
- Inflation
- Macroeconomic expectations and uncertainty
- Energy prices and monetary policy
In total, 20 researchers from central banks, supervisory authorities, and research institutes from across Europe participated. The workshop provided participants with an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss current macroeconomic challenges. The presentations and discussions were of high quality and provided valuable insights into the latest methodological advances. The workshop also generated a range of ideas for future research.
