Research

The research focus points of the teaching and research area cover a broad spectrum of application-related basic research in which causes and consequences of inequalities and their effects on (institutional) pedagogical and educational processes are investigated. In particular economic, political and vulnerable appearances of social inequality are addressed; the transformation of welfare systems and forms of solidarity in local and trans-national spaces is compared, and practice-oriented formats of extra-curricular education are focused on.
