Reference management programmes make citing in scientific papers much easier. Reference management programs can be used to export, save and manage all relevant references from library catalogues and databases in order to automatically generate citations in a word processing program.

The choice of the "right" reference management programme depends on various factors, such as the operating system used, your own working method or whether certain citation styles are available.

At the University and State Library Tyrol you have access to the following reference management programmes:

Citavi (recommended, Windows only)

EndNote-Web, EndNote

Zotero (recommended, other operating systems)
