Timber-only Structures and Architecture

Gengmu Ruan is a doctoral candidate in a jointed position at Department of Civil Engineering, Aalto University, Finland. His research topic focuses on integrated sustainable, structural and architectural design concepts for timber-only structures, more specifically, structures made from salvaged timber and wooden nails only. 
He will present a part of his project Timber-Only Structures and Architecture - an experiment using salvaged timber and wooden nails.
