The first field trip (16-18 May) took place in Innsbruck. The students attended Dr. Grosschwitz's lecture on cultural heritage, identity and belonging, and property rights. They also visited the Museum of Wattens, which provided an interesting example of cultural heritage and the representation of a local community, and the Tirol Panorama. Finally, the group visited the Volkskunst Museum Innsbruck, with curator Anna Engl leading a discussion of the approaches and methods that the Museum has adopted regarding questions of social inclusion. The second field stay (23-25 May) took place in Bozen-Bolzano. Among other activities, students could attend Prof. Zinn’s lecture on cultural heritage and social inclusion in South Tyrol, visit the Stadt Museum Bozen-Museo Civico Bolzano, some of the most relevant monument in the city and the Memorial Site of National-socialist Deportations in Bozen-Bolzano.
