Carmen Kaar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from FH Gesundheitsberufe Oberösterreich in Linz, and a Master’s degree in Interventions in Childhood from Jönköping University in Sweden. With practical experience in both Austria and Switzerland, she has worked as an occupational therapist specializing in children with special needs, focusing on ADHD, autism, sensory integration disorders, and motor development. Her practical work emphasized movement interventions, therapeutic climbing, and their impact on daily functioning, well-being, and mental health.
To pursue a scientific career, Carmen Kaar has embarked on her doctoral studies at the Chair for sport Psychology at the University of Innsbruck. Her research will investigate physical activity and exercise interventions for children and youth, with a particular focus on their effects on psychological well-being and mental health.
