Support programme INN2science students
To promote interest in an academic career right from the start of an undergraduate degree course and to provide barrier-free access to career prospects for students with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses, we offer a supportprogramme for students.
For this purpose, the Universität Innsbruck invites interested disabled and/or chronically ill students with a degree of disability of 50% or more to announce their interest in employment by forwarding the data sheet and relevant documents. Following positive feedback from the relevant faculty, employment as a student assistant will be offered from October 1st and March 1st for a limited period of six months, with the possibility of extension to a maximum of four years if the need continues, the requirements are met and the performance assessment is positive. The extent of employment is between four and ten hours per week, depending on the preferences / possibilities of the faculty concerned and the applicant. The salary is in salary group C according to the collective agreement of the universities and amounts to 269.80 euros gross per month (14 times) valid from February 1st 2025 for an employment level of four hours per week and increases accordingly with higher employment levels.
In accordance with the collective agreement of the universities, student employees are part-time employees who have not yet completed a bachelor's, diploma or master's degree programme for the intended position when the employment contract is concluded. In accordance with the employment contract, they are involved in courses, academic work, student supervision, administrative activities and the implementation of evaluation measures. Normal weekly working hours may not exceed 20 hours, except during lecture-free periods. Employment relationships end, without the need for a termination declaration, at the end of the semester in which the Master's (diploma) programme is completed, but at the latest after a maximum of four years.
