Training Facilities – Universität Innsbruck

Our location

The Department of Translation Studies is situated on the third and fourth floors of the Georg-Trakl-Turm building on Herzog-Siegmund-Ufer 15, which is located directly next to the River Inn in the centre of Innsbruck. With amazing views of the Alps, around 300 students and 40 members of staff here are provided with the ideal infrastructure and facilities to work and study, such as bright spacious seminar and lecture rooms, two PC rooms (30+1 and 12+1 workstations), an additional classroom with interpreting booths (the interpreting training facility with 14 booths is located in the main faculty building), quiet work areas equipped with power outlets or stand-alone PCs, a lounge for students, lockers for personal belongings, as well as the department’s own library and staff offices.

Our department has an interpreter training facility with a total of 14 seats in 7 booths.

PC-Räume

Die PC-Arbeitsplätze in den beiden institutseigenen Computerräumen, PC-Raum 4. Stock (13 PCs) sowie PC-Raum 3. Stock (31 PCs), sowie in der Bibliothek (8 PCs) stehen den Studierenden während der Öffnungszeiten zur freien Verfügung. Natürlich können auch weitere PCs im Hauptgebäude der Universität genutzt werden. Und für gemeinsame Projekte kann die universitäre Infrastruktur, z. B. einer der AV-Aufnahmeräume, genutzt werden. Lern-Arbeitsplätze finden sich zudem in ausreichender Zahl in unserer institutseigenen Bibliothek.
