Quantum Information Workshop Seefeld 2022

5th Seefeld Workshop on Quantum Information

COVID-19 Information: Please be aware of the current Austrian travel regulations. Latest information can be found here. Further restrictions might be imposed by the University authorities. We will keep you informed as the date approaches.

This workshop will be the successor of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Seefeld Workshops on Quantum Information Theory, which were held in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 respectively.

The main focus of this series of workshops is on quantum information topics such as entanglement theory, quantum networks, non-locality, quantum measurements and tomography, quantum metrology, entanglement in condensed matter systems, etc., as well as some selected topics in quantum computation and quantum device verification.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers working on quantum information theory. The schedule of the workshop is such that there is enough time for many informal discussions. A number of prominent speakers have confirmed their participation and we anticipate an interesting and stimulating meeting.

Organizers

Wolfgang Dür (University of Innsbruck), Barbara Kraus (University of Innsbruck), Jorge Miguel Ramiro (University of Innsbruck) and Michalis Skotiniotis (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona)

Support

The workshop is sponsored by the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the University of Innsbruck and by the research program SFB BeyondC.

Program

Few talks will be scheduled to leave plenty of room for discussions and outdoor activities. Approximately two invited plenary talks (each of 1 hour) and four invited short talks (30min) will be given per day. In addition we plan to have an extensive poster session and we strongly encourage participants to present a poster about their current research.

Venue

Seefeld in Tirol is a charming traditional Tyrolean village. It is located in the Alps about 20 km northwest of Innsbruck. Besides being a prominent skiing resort in winter, its hundreds of kilometers of hiking and mountain bike trails and the Wildsee lake make Seefeld a popular Summer destination as well. The workshop will be held at Hotel Schönruh, a modern hotel which offers nice working facilities combined with relaxation in its wellness and spa area.
