Admission to non-degree-programme studies
Tuition fees
„Non-degree-programme studies“ are university course programmes and attendance of individual courses in academic subjects. University courses are non-degree programmes with a defined curriculum (study plan) that are offered as part of university continuing education.

Non-degree-programme students are only admitted to individual courses for which they are eligible (e.g. in the frame of a „university entrance qualification“). Non-degree students who are only admitted to attend courses may attend those courses for which they fulfil the registration requirements specified in the curricula and take examinations in accordance with university regulations. Please note:
- Regular students are given preference when allocating places on courses.
- It is not possible to take (partial) diploma examinations, module examinations or rigorous examinations or to complete studies during an non-degree-programme.
- You must pay the tuition fee.
- If you are a citizen of a non-EU/EEA country, you will not receive a student visa.
- You cannot apply for student self-insurance (= health insurance) in Austria.
- No VVT ticket for students.
Admission to non-degree-programme studies
For the admission to non-degree-programme studies you have to register at the Admission Department and bring the following documents:
- Your valid passport or ID-card (original and photocopy)
- Your Austrian social security card (= eCard) if you have one

Tuition fees
Non-degree students have to pay the tuition fee (363,36 EURO) plus the austrian students‘ union fee. There is no exemption from tuition fees.
